We are a seeking a Temporary ( with the potential for permanent ) Events Manager to join our Calgary Advanced Parking team. In this role you will be reporting to the Account Manager and will be responsible for the overall parking for event parking operations at Calgary's Saddledome.
To qualify, you’ll need 3+ years’ business experience, preferably in a retail, marketing, hospitality, parking or a property management setting. You must also be well-organized, possess excellent communication skills, a supervisory background or a post-secondary education. We are looking for an individual with an outgoing personality that can proactively maintain connections with our clients. A strong customer service base and willingness to work flexible hours is also essential. As this position will be managing an event location there may be a requirement for some evening and weekend work, however the primary work hours will be a standard work week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop client relationships with strong ongoing communication
Be a leader in loss prevention activities
Responsible for negotiation of new contracts and maintenance of existing contracts
Responsible to ensure that employees are following Company polices and procedures
Troubleshoot equipment issues with technical teams
Scheduling and management of supervisory staff
Day to day administrative duties including emails, faxes, internal correspondence
Responsible for all financial and service reporting requirements
Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of our parking facilities
Ability to connect with new clients and generate leads
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
Excellent computer skills
High school graduate
3-5 years customer service skills in a supervisory or administrative role
Experience in parking or the hospitality industry desirable
