The Maintenance Project Engineer is responsible for implementing best in class total maintenance processes and procedures across the Mobile Heavy Equipment and Stationary Aggregate Processing Equipment.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Comply, understand, and promote Graniterock’s Core Values to ensure “Safety before All Else.”
Development and implement all technical, safety and process training for maintenance team members
Lead and document the standardization of repair processes for mobile and stationary equipment
Perform equipment wear and failure analysis to determine root cause of production impacts
Manage and oversee the maintenance schedule to support productivity, safety, quality and efficiency
Work with purchasing department to ensure availability of parts to prevent extended downtime of equipment
Work with Quarry and Maintenance manager to develop maintenance profit plan
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering or equivalent related technical certifications or experience.
1+ years working around heavy industrial equipment in the maintenance, operational or management capacity
Experience working in a mine, manufacturing or construction operation
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, failure and production analysis, 5S, Total Maintenance, scheduling and cost management
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and participate on a team.
Excellent communication, leadership and financial management skills; ability to effectively plan, execute, measure and communicate project financial results.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Ability to provide leadership in developing productivity measures and establishing processes to eliminate waste, lower costs and maximize plants and equipment without compromising quality.
Ability to champion Graniterock’s Safety culture and drive achievement of zero lost-time injuries/property damage incidents.
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
AutoCAD or similar drafting experience.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
