FlashPoint, a leadership consulting firm serving national and international mid- and large-sized organizations, is seeking an Associate, Project Coordinator for a position based in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area.
This full-time, salaried position will be part of an on-the-ground team with one of our clients, BMW Plant Spartanburg. This position serves as part of the FlashPoint project management team and will work closely with both BMW client contacts and the FlashPoint team. The position will begin in March 2020 and will be fully dedicated to support administrative and organizational tasks for the BMW iLead program. iLead is an interactive and engaging 6-month program designed for all 650 BMW leaders to strengthen their skills and change how they think about their roles as a leader.
Because of the magnitude of this project, it’s critical for the position to be filled by an individual who is organized, pays close attention to detail, collaborates well, and has strong written and verbal communication. We’ll also prioritize those individuals who are independent thinkers with a strong customer service orientation, along with those who have a background or experience in leadership or training program or process management. Set up meetings as needed for project team members
Attend project management meetings, take minutes, and communicate next steps to project team members
Create, modify, and update all documentation during the project to ensure everything stays on task and on time
Document all processes to ensure transfer of knowledge for other project team members
Schedule and communicate trainings and evaluations efficiently using Microsoft applications
Manage logistics and serve as point of contact for all “day of” responsibilities for iLead
Coordinate schedule of participants, including rescheduling when conflicts arise, and following-up with participants
Handle all administrative matters with attention to detail and care, including answering questions or concerns from the project email
In addition to responsibilities with the BMW assessment center project, you’ll also work on other client projects as time allows.

Supports the daily needs of the delivery team and BMW assessment center projects, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and a positive client and team experience.
Assists our consulting team by interacting with BMW contacts to ensure their requests are met in a timely fashion.
Serves as a positive ambassador and liaison for FlashPoint.
Coordinates the printing and assembly of evaluation materials, reports, etc.

Provides tactical support to project leaders on components of client projects; looks for opportunities to learn from and cross-train with other delivery team members.
Shows strong project management skills effectively working to meet the needs of BMW and other clients.
Follows all delivery processes, including the quality review process.
Learns about client’s needs by asking good questions; proactively learns to anticipate needs and customize deliverables to meet these needs.
Types and organizes notes from client events and meetings.
Performs research to support projects, presentations, etc.
Tracks project time accurately and inputs the time into the project hours tracking system.
Ensures project work stays within the assigned budget and notifies the project lead if it falls outside of the agreed-upon plan.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Related internships or positions in human resources, training and development, and/or organizational development experience is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and summarize general research periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, etc.
Must have a solid level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; the position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
