We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will lead project teams with agility through large-scale, complex, multi-phase initiatives. These initiatives may include internal and external stakeholders, leading-edge technology and significant organizational change. You will be vastly experienced with various delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.) and system integrations, highly collaborative and communicative, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your project repertoire includes vendor negotiations, change management, Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and/or Software as a Service (SAAS) solution delivery.

 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Leading and motivating project teams through the planning, monitoring, and execution of medium to large-scale projects involving various business areas and applications.

  • Managing project procurement activities including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and monitoring progress, to ensure contractual requirements are satisfied.

  • Proactively anticipating project deviations, adapting to changing priorities, facilitating negotiations, and creating transparency with project sponsors and owners.

  • Encouraging and modeling a creative approach to problem solving, relationship management, and communication, to drive effective results.

  • Providing thought leadership to the development of our project delivery practice, identifying innovation opportunities, and mentoring junior peers, to enable continuous improvement.

To join our team:

  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification, Scrum Master, and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 10 years’ experience delivering IT projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • In-depth understanding of Agile project management, with a proven history of execution.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS project, Excel, SharePoint, One Note/One Drive, and Outlook.

  • Experience in the Insurance Industry and familiarity with JIRA/Confluence/Zephyr considered an asset.
