About the role

The Strategic Projects Group (SPG) Team’s mandate is to work closely across Divisional management & Group functions in helping formulate proposed strategic projects, and oversee effective implementation, with an overarching aim to bring maximum efficiency and shareholder wealth to the Group.

The team focuses on three core pillars: (1) Project Management; (2) Strategic Analysis; and (3) M&A Opportunities / Group Disposals.

You will be a key member of the Strategic Corporate Development team and will be primarily responsible for working on technical analysis & financial modelling, directing and ensuring the execution of projects, and acting as the mediator between the Head of SPG and the Project Analysts

Duties include:

  • Oversee all SPG mandates & ensure excellence in execution, including coordinating & directing workload for analysts
  • Support the Head of SPG with weekly progress reports & ensure communication in a top to bottom approach throughout the team
  • Lead all analytical based tasks & be able to competently produce financial valuations & models
  • Take responsibility for individual tasks, ensuring delivery and project momentum is continued
  • Constantly work across all CITCO Group and business stakeholders, keeping them regularly informed and ensuring collaboration of ideas/opportunities are actioned (e.g. Group Legal, Tax, HR, IT) 

 About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative subject (Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business). Masters Degree preferred but not required

  • Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant/ Chartered Financial Analyst

  • >5yrs work experience required, preferably in a quantitative based role (e.g. M&A house, Equity research firm, Internal Strategic/Finance Project Management role etc.)

  • Advanced quantitative skills required, including financial modelling & Microsoft Office competency

  • Advanced communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines interacting with Senior Management

  • Leadership and ability to direct workflow throughout underlying team of 3 Project Analysts
