At Centric, Business Consulting practice deals with establishing business and operations capabilities at our clients. These capabilities include Business Process Improvement (BPI)/Re-engineering, Business Process Management (BPM), Business Performance Management, Business Analytics and Value Targeting, Customer Experience Excellence, Sourcing & Procurement, and M&A Integrations.
Our Chicago business unit is part of a larger group of business and technology experts at the company, but we add a lot of individual expertise and personality to our work. We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Business and Operations Consulting to join our growing team.
In this role, you will:
Drive development, growth and quality execution of all our Business Consulting capabilities (listed above)
Provide thought leadership to our clients and drive sales and delivery of business consulting solutions
Have consulting experience applying skills across a variety of industry and functional areas, working in small, flexible engagement teams
Work directly with our senior leadership team and partner closely with other Centric practices on strategy and roadmap development, assessments, operational process improvements, and execution
The position located in Chicago, Illinois. Centric operates under a local consulting model and we treat travel as an opt-in only. Seeking local candidates only.
A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
At least 10+ years’ work experience in management/leadership experience including a history of increasing leadership responsibility and career growth
Previous experience with top-tier consulting company (preferred)
Well-versed in project management methodologies with ability to lead projects, create project plans, develop risk documents, develop project metrics and communicate with senior stakeholders
Leading business development activities: developing proposals, presentations, and statements of work (SOW) while recommending strategies to grow the Business Consulting Practice presence in existing accounts
Collaborating with account and sales teams to manage the sales process with clients and provide the leadership throughout the opportunity lifecycle, from initial qualification to closure of the deal
Maximizing team performance through an effective team approach that increases productivity and job satisfaction
Exceeding client expectations, managing project economics and risks, and ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client
A strategic thinker; exercises strong foresight, judgment and bias towards informed decision making
High energy level, inquisitiveness, sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness; ability to perform under pressure with poise; experience working within a fast paced, dynamic environment; high change agility
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully across all levels of an organization
Excellent negotiation, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to assess and leverage strengths of a diverse group of people to maximize team performance along with proven success developing individuals
Adaptable to balancing the demands of multiple client assignments with team development while pushing the intellectual envelope in search of solutions to complex problems
An entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to develop her/his practice area within a larger organization by leveraging existing resources and capabilities in new and unique ways to achieve success
