CARE is an international NGO with local staff and community partners in more than 90 countries. We create local solutions to poverty and inequality and we seek dignity for everyone every day and during times of crisis. These solutions have a broad range, from clean water to access to education; from microfinance to ensuring that everyone has nutritious food; from agriculture and climate change to disaster response. CARE puts women and girls at the center of everything we do because they have proven to be the best hope for creating lasting change in the world. Our staff live where they work, which makes us effective at understanding the challenges they face. We’ve been doing this for over 70 years, since World War II. It started with the world’s first CARE Package® of food for the post-war hungry in Europe. Our work today is as important as ever, we believe that poverty and inequality are historic injustices that we can end within a generation, for good. If you share our core beliefs: poverty is an injustice; poverty is solvable; and together, we have the power to end it, join us.

CARE USA has taken on an ambitious transformational agenda, and we need great talent to support us! The Senior Manager, Change Management will work with the Strategy team to support the roll-out of our organization-wide strategic priorities and projects.
The Sr Manager will support leaders of complex, multi-team, organization-wide strategic initiatives to build comprehensive change management strategies and roadmaps and develop and execute stakeholder outreach plans and engagement efforts to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in, and support. In partnership with the People and Culture team, they will articulate behavior changes needed to support the strategy and design programs to facilitate that change.
The Sr. Manager will lead the transformation of our change communications strategy internally. They will consult and develop communications plans for change efforts that impact team members globally, and provide communication guidance to senior-level management and key partners around complex, sensitive issues. They will lead on drafting, editing, and proofreading global email announcements and designing promotional materials.
The Sr. Manager will bring new rigor and discipline to our communications approaches, designing and supporting communications cascades from the Executive or Global Management teams. These cascading strategies will ensure timely information, message clarity, and empower senior leaders and managers to answer questions and lead through change.
Critical skills include: executive presence and comfort around senior leadership; demonstrated experience producing organization-wide communications and communication strategies; experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools; demonstrated client relationship and stakeholder management; work planning and project management skills, comfort with ambiguity; relationship-building and influencing; cross-cultural communication; and a bias toward action.
