CARE is looking for a leader who can bring new corporate partners to the fight to end global poverty. We are seeking a highly experienced, energetic corporate fundraising superstar and team leader with a strong bias for action to lead expansion, diversification and growth of both partnerships and portfolio scope and size to meet CARE’s ambitious revenue and brand engagement goals.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate giving (private sector or nonprofit background), an impressive track record of developing and closing innovative partnership deals and generating new business. 

The post holder will be a thought leader in multi-asset strategic partnerships, including shared value, cause-related marketing, and employee engagement, in addition to bringing gravitas to engagements with executive leadership.  Our new leader will be a natural collaborator and deal-maker who will successfully engage colleagues across the organization to drive growth and creativity to establish CARE as the #1 global nonprofit partner of choice for U.S. companies.  CARE’s mission has never been more important than it is today. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national development strategy for private sector partners of CARE to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals.
  • Create, evolve and oversee strong, holistic relationships with CARE partners including C-suite, marketing, human resources, foundations and business development
  • Maintain a diverse portfolio of major corporate and foundation donors with giving capacity of at least 10 million.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal departments to share information, strategies and best practices and align/coordinate efforts to enhance corporate partnerships and grow revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or International Development; Masters preferred
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience as a corporate leader and/or fundraising practitioner, who has sales, brand management, strategy development, R&D or senior-level marketing and branding experience
  • Demonstrated ability to think boldly, take risks and implement new ways of identifying, reaching and securing new corporate partners, structuring deals of $5M+
  • Proven track record of closing seven, and eight-figure corporate gifts and partnership agreements
  • Experience leading growing smaller to larger teams, creating budgets and goals that lead to increasing levels of performance
  • Ability to pitch, develop, and structure complex cause-related marketing partnerships
  • Demonstrated strength working collaboratively across teams to build a harmonious productive working environment that consistently delivers results
  • Significant experience of working successfully in the private sector in a similar sales/marketing role
  • Experience raising money in the tech sector and Silicon Valley and in the financial sector is a plus
  • International experience is also a plus
