SUMMARY:

 

Greets and acknowledges guests seated, takes orders,serves and removes plates from the table.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets customers and/or employees seated in the assigned section of the restaurant.
  • Takes down the food and drink orders of customers; inputs into the computer and prints out a check.
  • Prepares side orders of customers as the need arises.
  • Picks up the food orders from the kitchen and delivers to the customers table including the check.
  • Assists and checks on the customers during dining. Makes drink refills as necessary.
  • Ensures that all phases of the meal are carried out appropriately and timely in accordance with the standards set by the department.

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have three (3) to six (6) months experience in waiting tables

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must obtain Health Card and alcohol Awaremess Card. 

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
