EVS Manager

The EVS/Public Area Manager directs and controls EVS operations and staff, co-ordinates between EVS shifts to inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are met, solves problems and supports staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and/or implement operating procedures and standards

Plan and coordinate the activities of EVS supervisors and their assigned Team Members

Coordinate inspection or inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are met

Apply management skills, such as hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating performance

Complete financial management tasks, such as setting and adhering to a budget

Handle administrative tasks

Basic accounting skills

Good customer service skills

Purchasing and inventory skills is an asset

Assigns work to cleaning personnel and trains personnel in EVS duties.

Adjusts guests' complaints regarding EVS service or equipment.

Records inspection results and notifies staff of inadequacies.

Implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures set forth by Rail City Casino in regard to safety guidelines, proper chemical usage, handling of bio-hazard materials, injury prevention, etc.

Effectively read, write, and speak in English both in person and over the phone.

Function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with extreme care and particular attention to detail.

Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.

Strong leadership qualities and sound judgment with effective decision-making and problem solving skills.

Possess the knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with Team Members and Vendors.

Ability to accept constructive criticism in professional manner.

Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 3 years of previous supervisory experience in EVS preferred.
