SUMMARY:           

The primary objective of the Slot Tech Supervisor-Hourly is to ensure the profitability of the Slot floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The development, implementation and maintenance of the company culture, values, vision and mission within the Casino departments.

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of slot operations.

  • Analyze all sources of data to determine the proper slot product mix, types, quantity, availability and location for maximum play and profits including the analysis of new game products and their potential value and performance as compared with industry standards, competitive models and the company’s existing performance levels.

  • Must have a solid background in slot technical operations, with thorough knowledge of networking, computer systems, EZ-Pay, IGT/IGS and MGT systems, and a thorough working knowledge of installation, programming and maintenance on the following manufacturer’s games: IGT, Bally, WMS, Aristocrat, and Konami, and know both new and older style games, and well as system and participation games.

  • Works with the Director of Casino Operations to analyze and select new equipment and machines and directs placement of machines.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Sees that all slot department is operated in accordance with Rail City Casino’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

  • Ensures that the Slot Technicians have the necessary training, tools and resources to accomplish their goals and fulfill their responsibilities.

  • Establishes training programs including the development and selection of internal departmental manuals, policies, procedures and all materials used for training.

  • Oversees the fair and equitable application of coaching and disciplinary actions as well as positive reinforcement and recognition.

  • Ensures that the slot department maintains an atmosphere of professionalism while inducing fun and excitement that benefits both the team members and guests in accordance with our culture and value guidelines.

  • Works with all staff to ensure maximized profits through the proper utilization of the games, team members through scheduling and staffing levels, and control of departmental expenses to maintain the levels of service required for the business levels.

  • Ensure the overall satisfaction and comfort of the guests.

  • Interact on a daily basis with all slot staff and other operational departments to maintain open communication and collect feedback.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

Nevada Gaming Control Board and Alcohol Awareness Card.
