The Painter is responsible for maintaining all painted areas of the exterior and interior of the property. 


  • Applies paint using a roller, hand brush or spray gun on all types of furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, etc.
  • Installs and repairs wallpaper throughout the property.
  • Patches and prepares all surfaces for paint or wallpaper, including sheet rock patches, and refinishes all types of furniture.
  • Applies acoustical ceiling finishes or other textured finishes.
  • Advises Chief Engineer of all work orders and/or projects currently being worked on, the scheduling of projects, and materials needed for such projects.
  • Ensures that all equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly at all times.
  • Keeps informed and updated on current painting techniques and technical methods.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.
  • Use of handheld radios and/or personal protective equipment.
  • Moves furniture as needed.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Maintain neat and friendly appearance at all times inclusive of all job areas, using cover clothing when needed to maintain clean appearance.
  • Other related duties as assigned. 


Two years of painting experience required.  Knowledge of OSHA guidelines required. Lock-out-tag-out, Blood Borne Pathogens and other safety training is required.
