The Slot Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Slot Operations, including but not limited to; slot staffing, guest service standards, training, slot game performance analysis, adherence to integrity federal, state, property, and department rules and regulations and well as procedural integrity and adminstration. This position supports and reports to the Director of Casino Operations and Marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates an atmosphere that encourages guest to make Rail City Casino their Choice for gaming entertainment.
  • Supervises the daily operations of the Slot Operations and Slot Performance teams.
  • Hires, trains, counsels and evaluates staff, ensuring team members to receive the training, support, adequate guidance and necessary resources to accomplish established objectives.
  • Disciplines employees in accordance with company policies, up to and including separation of employment.
  • Ensures department uniform, appearance and grooming standards are followed and maintained.
  • Assists in determining slot layout, machine types, locations. denominations and performance analytics.
  • Observes, recognizes, and documents irregularities on the slot and gaming floors.
  • Produces game performance reports: daily, weekly, montly, as well as other designated times.
  • Reviews slot files and performances reports daily to ensure accuracy, compliance to expected standards, and resolves discrepancies according to regulations, policy, and procedures.
  • Analyzes statistics on slot performance reports. Presents report findings to Director of Casino Operations and Marketing and General Manager.
  • Ensures slot games performance is meeting expectations, and recommends any needed changes or actions.
  • Ensures departmental budgets are followed.
  • Ability to draft departmental polices and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all state and departmental regulations.
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any team member or player and investigates/reports Suspecious Activities (SAR) immediately to Director of Casino Operations and Marketing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five (5) years management experience within a slot or associated gaming operation required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Must have basic computer skills, Microsoft Outlook (email), and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel (basic formulas and formatting) and word (ability to draft department memos).

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:

         Ability to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card.
