The Housekeeping Status Board Operator answers incoming telephone calls to the housekeeping department and logs information regarding problems/situations which require prompt attention, guest service requests, and assists in the scheduling of Guest Room Attendants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates with Front Desk regarding early check-outs and stay-over hotel guests.
  • Updates the Supervisors as to the available-dirty and vacant rooms that need to be cleaned.
  • Coordinates with Supervisors regarding the status of available rooms and updates the computer accordingly.
  • Notifies Supervisors of room changes that affect room status.
  • Issues room shampoo requests to Supervisors.
  • Attends to guest room needs such as any lost and found items, irons, coffee pots, extra blankets, cribs, etc.
  • Logs all lost and found items and coordinates their storage with Security.
  • Coordinates and follows up on requests for repairs with Engineering.
  • Prepares and submits all required paperwork and reports for the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Performs the duties of a Guest Room Attendant if the need arises.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning all Housekeeping and Guest Service related issues.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Maintains cleanliness of Housekeeping offices.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in housekeeping or customer service in a similar casino/hotel environment preferred.
