ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Checks the roller coaster train including all of its road wheels, guide wheels, chassis, chain dog, etc.
Troubleshoots and repairs the train as the need arises.
Checks all the other rides to ensure that these are in good running condition.
Checks the monorails to ensure that these are in good running condition.
Troubleshoots and repairs the monorails as the need arises.
Troubleshoots and repairs the ride equipment as the need arises.
Patrols around the attractions area and responds to ride equipment related problems.
Sees to it that the preventive maintenance on the ride equipment and monorails are being done based on schedule.
Lubricates all brakes, drive chain, gear box for the lift as the need arises.
Tears down the roller coaster for the yearly permit inspection.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have at least one (3) year related experience on Management of Maintenance of rides or transportation industry.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Must be familiar with Clark County Ride Codes and ASTM standards. Must be able to obtain county QI certification.
Must be able to develop and implement a plan of general and required maintenance of all rides and attractions
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, complex schematics, operations manuals and blueprints.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, employees
Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out detailed and complex written and oral instructions.
Ability to deal with complex problems involving many variables in standardized and un-standardized situations.
The employee is frequently required to work on equipment that may contain live electrical parts and springs
The ability to read, comprehend and implement lock-out tag-out procedures is required.
