Internship Job Posting

A paid internship with The First Tee headquarters offers you career-building experience with a growing team.  You’ll handle real projects and start building your resume with solid credentials.  You can plan to receive college credit along with $11.00/hour.

Our office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Network Relations Intern - The First Tee Headquarters 

  • Helping analyze network data
  • Assisting the coach training team
  • Assisting with the regional meetings in the fall
  • Salesforce support

Events Intern  - The First Tee Headquarters 

  • Support business unit in managing the online participant application and selection process for the following national events:
    • Perfect Sense Unified Challenge
    • John Deere Drive Your Future Academy
    • John Deere Power for Good Scholarship
    • Life Skills & Leadership Academy
    • PURE Insurance Championship Impacting The First Tee Open
  • Manage participant travel and transportation logistics for summer events
  • Assist in reviewing event specific participant biographies for print and marketing collateral
  • Support business unit by assisting with weekly communications to The First Tee chapter network

Marketing Intern  - The First Tee Headquarters 

  • Hall of Fame Induction prep (compiling HOF member info for briefing documents, assisting with final logistics)
  • Ad copy/messaging
  • School to chapter transition (research, brainstorm, draft copy)
  • Ad tracking/metrics/analysis
  • Assistance with PowerPoint presentations

Communications  Intern  - The First Tee Headquarters 

  • Draft PR resources (releases, bios, talking points)
  • Monitor and compile media clippings
  • Draft social media posts, monitoring our handles
  • Compile analytics
  • Make updates to websites

Advancement  Intern  - The First Tee Headquarters 

  • Converting/discarding of NSP & DRIVE paper files
  • Sales calls to help close gap on unfulfilled business
  • Data cleanup
  • Research/ Drawing active profiles

 

 PGA TOUR  Opportunities (Seeking The First Tee Alumni)

Bridgestone SENIOR PLAYERS Championship - 

Location: Akron, Ohio

Internship Dates: June 10th to August 9th

Internship Duties:

  • Develop signage plan including proposed layout of off-course and on-course directional signage, sponsorship signage, etc.
  • Coordinate projected electrical, generator, HVAC and cable layout necessary for all hospitality locations, media center and other locations
  • Assist with placement and set up of all office trailers
  • Oversee the Tournament’s Fan Zone including Expo clients and food trucks
  • Coordinate golf cart inventory, delivery and pickup; create intake plan and work with volunteer committee tournament week to ensure proper allocation of carts
  • Develop credential access boards that illustrate ability to access various areas
  • Maintain shuttle schedule from each off-site parking location
  • Manage television inventory and number of video boards; coordinate delivery, setup and take down of inventory
  • Coordination of operational aspects of catering/concessionaire setup and compound location
  • Create and utilize a log for each shipment prior to tournament week; assist volunteer committee during tournament week to ensure proper delivery of shipments
  • Develop fencing plan (locations and dates) for BOH areas, POLs, Driving Range, Generators, TV Compound and other areas with the help of the Operations Manager
  • Work closely with the Tournament’s title sponsor and host club

Charles Schwab Cup Championship

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Internship Dates: September 23rd to November 29th

Internship Duties:

Operations Intern Dates: August 19th - November 1st

               Hours Vary: Overtime available when applicable

  • Coordinate delivery, proper placement and service schedule with portable restroom vendor.
  • Manage local fuel company relationship; handling fuel tank delivery and fuel deliveries
  • Develop credential access boards that illustrate ability to access various areas
  • Develop fencing plan (locations and dates) for BOH areas, POLs, Driving Range, Generators, TV Compound and other areas with the help of the Operations Manager
