Fair Trade USA's Data Team works with departments across the organization to collect, manage, analyze and share data about Fair Trade USA’s business and the impact of our work. The organization is committed to being excellent stewards of our data while working quickly to create meaningful data insights that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and deliver supply chain insights to our partners.

We are looking for an energetic Program Manager to improve data literacy across the organization so we can develop a stronger data driven culture.  This role is critical in our analysis and decision-making processes across programs (Business Development, Operations, Marketing, Development…) at Fair Trade USA.  This data is used by different programs to monitor compliance risk, improve operational performance, communicate impact of our brand partners’ interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the Fair Trade model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop trust and partnership with program stakeholders to define strategy and projects to improve our data culture
  • Lead and implement programs, projects, and processes
  • Conduct training: classroom, webinars, one-on-one, …
  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations
  • Manage and Monitor internal-facing queue of Ad Hoc analysis requests
  • Conduct Ad Hoc analysis and visualization
  • Work effectively in an agile framework as a team member, supporting peers and providing insights to improve internal procedures

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Tableau to provide business intelligence and visualizations
  • Experience working with databases such as MySQL
  • 2+ years of experience in a related analytical role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, logical, systematic, methodical, organized, able to problem solve and often work autonomously
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills  
  • Must be proficient in MS Office applications (most notably Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
