Location: Flexible location
Type of Vacancy: Full time

TNTP seeks a full-time Talent Acquisition Manager for our Talent & Culture department. This position is based in a home office anywhere in the U.S. or from the TNTP central office in Brooklyn, NY and is available immediately.  Occasional travel required.

Who We Are

TNTP is a national nonprofit founded by teachers that believes our nation’s public schools can offer all children an excellent education. Today we’re a diverse team from a wide range of fields, united by a fierce commitment to helping school systems end educational inequality and achieve their goals for students. We work at every level of the public education system to attract and train talented teachers and school leaders, ensure rigorous and engaging classrooms, and create environments that prioritize great teaching and accelerate student learning.

Our Talent & Culture team works to ensure that TNTP can find, grow and keep amazing people. It leads the recruitment and selection, development, compensation and benefits administration, and performance evaluation of our exceptional staff of educational leaders.

Who We Want

We are looking for amazing people who have diverse backgrounds and experiences, are inspired by our mission and are highly motivated to change children’s lives through education. If you’ve been pegged as a problem solver, complimented for your communication skills, and proven you thrive in a fast-paced environment, you’ll be right at home here. We’re looking for talented people who learn from failure and overcome adversity, cultivate strong relationships, and push themselves, their work and the people around them to the next level.

TNTP can only do its greatest work, now and in the future - the kind that transforms outcomes for kids nationally - with talented and diverse teams.  You will support teams across TNTP, working closely with Senior Talent Acquisition Managers, to ensure high-quality, efficient, effective Talent Acquisition processes. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple, efficient hiring processes, including interview coordination, communications and weekly data reporting on individual searches
  • Developing and delivering clear and timely communications to both candidates and TNTP staff
  • Leveraging social media, internet sourcing, referral sources and other technical means to generate qualified leads and create strong and diverse candidate pipelines for both immediate and future vacancies
  • Managing and improving key Talent Acquisition operational processes that support the work of the entire TA team such as team-wide knowledge management initiatives, requisition approvals, implementation of candidate, new hire and hiring manager surveys, and data reporting
  • Generating new ideas to improve Talent Acquisition processes and operations, identifying inefficiencies and potential bottlenecks, and leading projects focused on improvements that result in improved efficiency, quality, and candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Supporting new hires as they transition to onboarding, ensuring they have the resources they need for a strong start

We expect our Talent Acquisition Managers to:

  • Have a deep commitment to attracting and hiring high quality, diverse talent. You are hungry to constantly learn and employ the latest talent acquisition approaches (a must); 2 years of experience recruiting and sourcing talent (preferred).
  • Be a strong strategic and analytic thinker. You are a natural problem solver who can efficiently grasp and act on a big picture, quickly identify challenges, analyze the root causes, and design creative solutions.
  • Embrace a fast-moving organization. Deadlines, changing priorities and new projects don’t scare you. Instead, they inspire you to rise to the occasion.
  • Deliver crisp, clean messages. Whether in writing or on the phone, your communications are articulate and concise. You understand your audience and know how to deliver inspiring messages and tough news with ease and tactful finesse.
  • Embrace technologies. You have a proven ability to quickly learn and use new technologies (hands on experience with applicant tracking systems is a plus).
  • Partner with leaders. You’ll regularly interact with TNTP staff motivating them to make incremental change and take quantum leaps.
