Description

The Integer Group  is looking for a  Media Connections Strategist  at our  Des Moines  office.

The Media Connections Strategist develops insight-driven media strategies and plans for activation of clients’ integrated marketing programs. Combining media channel expertise and strategic mindset they recommend the best channels/tools/technology to activate concepts and deliver communication to the right audiences. The Connections Strategist develops culturally-relevant connection ideas for reaching consumers and shoppers within paid, owned and earned media environments, as well as identify how brand messaging should be applied across various touchpoints. They design go-to-market tactical plans for the launch of creative campaigns utilizing a variety of channels, targeting, technologies partners and data providers. 

RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop brand and shopper strategies that come to life in online and offline Media/Technology/Digital channels
    • Develop connections strategies that inform and inspire creative briefs, creative work, award-winning ideas, category insights, trend reports and product innovations
    • Incorporate user-experience, competitive, media, technology and digital insights to inspire creative process
    • Assist in development of demographic, psychographic and behavioral consumer profiles
    • Articulate strategies and ideas in a confident and persuasive manner to clients and teammates
  • Provide thoughtful connections/media recommendations
    • Create media and messaging plan for the creative and/or campaign idea to achieve defined objectives
    • Evaluate new/evolving/emerging touchpoint opportunities in the media, digital and retail spaces to determine media value and effectiveness
    • Develop information into a visually-appealing, client-ready format that includes analysis, insight, rationale and implications
    • If applicable, prepare budget and buying parameter documents for media buyers
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses, processes and industries, current and historical perspective
  • Demonstrate media expertise by:
    • Effectively representing the department in internal and external meetings
    • Maintaining working knowledge of competitive landscape and media opportunities
    • Continually enhancing media knowledge to provide value for agency and its clients
    • Proficiently utilizing research tools and workflow automation (e.g. Simmons, comScore, Kantar, SRDS, Workhorse-MediaTools, Strata, Telmar)
    • Efficiently negotiating rates, positioning, promotional and added value programs
    • Accurately developing, tracking and communicating connections/media plans, client authorization, buy reports, contracts, flowcharts, budget recaps, etc. 
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, vendor representatives, clients and other industry professionals
    • Work independently and with others as part of a team with integrity, professionalism and dependability
    • Initiate and cultivate relationships of cross-functional agency teams
    • Work to create a culture of data advocates within the agency
    • Proactively identify concerns/resolve issues on routine projects by collecting and analyzing information, troubleshooting and utilizing internal resources
    • Communicate workload and project status to supervisor and account/project leaders
    • Provide an energy level and attitude that brings new and exciting ideas to the team
    • Motivate and encourage innovation and creativity throughout all projects, serving as a team role model

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of media planning/connections strategy experience
  • Experience in building, executing, managing and optimizing multi-channel media campaigns across all channels including offline, digital and social media
  • Strong organizational, analytical, presentation and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong command of media research and resources capabilities and limitations
  • Substantial knowledge and experience working in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other relevant platforms
