Integer is looking for a Content Strategy Director in our Des Moines, IA office.

The Content Strategy Director will shape content strategy for a variety of client brands. An engaging collaborator s/he will leverage in-depth content and communication knowledge and experience to work with Account Service, Media, Account Planning, Analytics, Creative, Social, PR, Digital and other discipline leaders.  In this strategic role, the Content Strategy Director will gather key business and consumer insights to create a long-term vision for content. S/he will compellingly communicate brand stories understanding content will be presented in a variety of formats. 


  • Translate communications strategies into actionable messaging strategies for Connection Planning and Creative/Content Development teams
  • Develop content strategies based on client’s business objectives, channel content needs and consumer insights
  • Identify gaps in existing content and opportunities for the expression of the communication strategy through messaging and content
  • Collaborate with other planning disciplines in client Discovery (e.g. content audit, social media/brand sentiment evaluation) to inform strategic planning
  • Work with other planning disciplines to craft messaging and content plans based upon content needs identified through Connection Planning and Creative Development
  • In cooperation with other planning disciplines, develop goal-based content initiatives, report on performance and make optimization recommendations
  • Working with Analytics, Media and UX teams, evaluate and optimize content to enhance SEO, social media and site engagement
  • Work with Connection Planners to create content plans and editorial calendars and inform tactical message mapping
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (Account Planning, Media, Digital Content, Social, PR, Creative and Production) to ensure a comprehensive execution of messaging strategies and content usage through paid, owned and earned media channels
  • Demonstrate ability to envision how content will be presented or distributed as infographics, text-based articles, creative executions, video or multimedia presentations
  • Maintain active involvement in professional and volunteer organizations
  • Foster positive attitudes and leads by example
  • S/he will be an optimistic team player, problem-solver and enthusiastic idea generator who possesses superior organizational, communications and presentation skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in relevant marketing, communications or research field, working in an agency or corporate environment
  • Proven success in strategic development and implementation, as well as general management experience
  • Strong verbal, written communication and critical thinking skills
  • Firm understanding of user experience and strong SEO skills
  • Strong leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with colleagues and clients in fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, working across organizational boundaries
  • Proactive, decisive, results-oriented, but also adaptable in order to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
