The Central Purchasing Manager is responsible for the overall management of Impark’s procurement process for goods and supplies as well as for the management of the competitive bid process including requests for proposals and quotations. The Central Purchasing Manager will be instrumental in ensuring internal customers and stakeholders benefit from initiatives that will transform operating practices across North America. The successful candidate will be an experienced procurement professional with a strong understanding and proven ability to deliver process optimization and business transformation initiatives.


  • Introduce and implement supply chain management best practices with a focus on protecting our brand, managing our vendors and leveraging economies of scale
  • Execution and coordination of procurement procedures, processes, workflows, performance and productivity measurements
  • Lead effective change and improvement through the implementation of a structured and collaborative alignment of company resources
  • Focus on vendor management. Evaluate cost and quality of goods and supplies 
  • Lead and develop a high performing and highly engaged team
  • Nurture the career development of team members to ensure they are well positioned to be able to the support the changing needs of the business
  • Continually identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation, standardization, systems and use of technology


  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • APICS, CSCP, SCMA or SCMP certification is an asset
  • 8 years   Equivalent work experience, including:
  • 5 years   of experience in a Supply Chain role
  • 2 years   of experience in leading a team


  • Self-directed team leader with a passion for and expertise in the supply chain discipline, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to both external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business and financial acumen combined with an innovative and process improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving and relationship-building skills
  • Experience coaching and delivering training at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows
  • Experience with purchasing and inventory management systems
