Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Design & Architecture of backend systems that support Global Eagle Air and ground networks.
  • Design and Build high performance network & application Performance monitoring solutions
  • Lead the adoption of software defined network technologies
  • Design & Build network automation and telemetry systems

Qualifications/Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in building and managing backend systems for large service providers

Skills/Interests

  • Experience working with network protocols: TCP/IP
  • Experience with TCP, UDP, IPv6, IPv4, ICMP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS
  • Experience developing multi-vendor network management systems
  • Experience in building Network controllers for Hybrid Software Defined Networks
  • Experience in building applications that manage Netflow, IPFIX, Syslog data streams
  • Experience using: Python, TCL, BASH
  • Experience in protocol & packet analysis tools like Wireshark
  • Deep understanding of web protocols (DNS, SSL, HTTP, etc.)
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledgeable in relational and non-relational database systems
  • Experience in NoSQL, TimeSeries DB, ELK stack technologies
  • Familiarity with streaming data analysis solutions (e.g. Kafka)
