Role Summary

The AP Coordinator will support the AP processing functions within the Shared Service Center. The AP Coordinator is mainly responsible for the transactional processing of Invoices, credits and Month End Closing, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices.
  • Ensure all invoices are process for Month End Close.
  • Upload entries into the system in a timely manner.
  • Process weekly payments via ACH, check, etc.
  • Save and index invoices in central repository by entity (GEE, AMP, DTI, etc.)
  • Run system matching process as needed
  • Correct system errors upon resolution from Buyer/Requestor
  • Implement agreed upon process improvements
  • Provide year-end support of auditor requirements and comply with internal controls

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • Experience matching invoices to POs
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Professional, detail oriented, well organized and efficient
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus
  • A proven dedication to teamwork and integrity within a professional environment
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow directions and multitask
