Do Our Best
We are in a period of tremendous growth with a number of large-scale projects in the pipeline, as well as work associated with the acquisition/creation of several subsidiaries. It is imperative to us that we maintain a dedicated focus on people to ensure we are providing every employee with the right type of support needed to help them harness their own creative energy. With a growing family of companies, it will be critical for the Global Talent Management team to provide the same level of support to our people out in the field and at our subsidiary companies as we do to the corporate office. To that effect, we are looking for a candidate with a wide variety of experience in the Human Resources/Talent Management space who can serve as a traveling extension of the Talent team.
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly embed with new groups of people across the world in order to gain trust and diagnose their immediate and long-term needs in the people space. This role is designed to provide our employees with an advocate committed to their engagement and overall well-being while also providing support tailored to each company’s unique business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience as an HR generalist, a leadership and organizational development consultant, a recruiter, an analyst, and a talent management program owner (e.g., performance management, employee engagement, workforce planning, etc.), as well as knowledge of HR systems and tools, compensation and benefits practices, and a broad array of other HR practices. The ideal candidate should be a situational leader who is comfortable flexing his/her leadership style as needed. He/she is a self-starter who is comfortable with “grey” space but also capable of working as an extension of a broader team of subject matter experts. The role will not maintain ownership of any single program or function, and will instead be expected to have a strong working knowledge of the programs and functions that fall under the umbrella of HR and talent management at Signal.
This position will be based in Signal’s main office in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but will require extensive travel throughout the year. Our subsidiaries and key partners are currently spread out across the United States and Australia. The right candidate for this role will be comfortable with spending multiple weeks or possibly months at a time providing embedded support to members of our family of companies.
