Field Maintenance Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Field Maintenance Manager would own new business startup plans from the maintenance perspective to include ensuring the readiness of equipment, pre-selection of maintenance vendors in a outsource situation, inspection of third party equipment, if applicable, in a fleet take over and an on-site presence at time of start-up. After start up, this individual  would perform an account evaluation process which would include on-site equipment inspections, coaching of CRST Dedicated Services, Inc account managers in good maintenance practices and establish on-site small parts inventory to facilitate better CSA scores and reduce costs. In addition, the Manager of Field Maintenance would  have the function of vendor manager. While the Vehicle Response Team would continue to schedule trucks and process invoices, this position would establish the process for price  negotiations  with out-sourced vendors to ensure the process of who will maintain the equipment and will communicate any special needs the account may have.

This role would also inspect, prior to replacement, any existing specialty equipment to determine the need to replace or potentially extend the life if the condition is good and  own maintenance expense review with heavy focus on solution creation at the account level, ensuring we have goals and business plans in place to drive out expense in areas that have been identified.

An additional component to this role will be implementation of the CRST Lincoln Sales tire manual to all shop locations with a heavy focus on training of shop employees and travel to all of our current retreading supplier facilities to perform scrap analysis, periodic retreader audits to ensure quality of product as well as compliance to established business processes, and perform fleet tire surveys to collect tire performance data, condition of tire assets current in operation and the execution of tire inflation policies to include tire application and matching criteria

Qualification Requirements:
The preferred candidate will have 2-3 years of previous vendor and tire experience.
CRST is an EOE, Candidate subject to successful completion of background and drug screening
