Supervisor Compliance

CRST Lincoln Sales, Inc. is seeking a detail oriented, driven individual to join our team as a Supervisor of Compliance located at their Cedar Rapids, IA location.

Job Summary: Responsible for managing the administrative aspect of all DOT Inspection, Roadside Equipment Violation and Owner Operator Maintenance Recaps; ensuring Federal and Company Compliance Regulations are met and/or exceeded; develop, maintain and distribute comprehensive reporting outlining needs related to DOT Inspection, Roadside Equipment Violation and Preventative Maintenance activity and lead all department efforts required to successfully support DOT Compliance Audits.    

Job Responsibilities:


  • Promote excellence in Compliance Department performance across all Operating Companies; ensuring the highest level of accuracy is maintained in completing DOT Inspection Forms, DVIRs, Maintenance Recaps and all documentation required to clear Roadside Equipment Violations.
  • Regularly review Compliance Department Reporting, i.e. Outstanding Roadside Equipment Violations, Preventative Maintenance Due, DOT Inspection Form Tracking, etc.; with the objective of maintaining report integrity and keeping CRST Operating Companies compliant with Federal and Company Compliance and Maintenance Requirements.
  • Coordinate the timely collection, organized retention and ability to produce all supportive documentation required for DOT Compliance Audits.
  • Promote productive working relationships with all CRST Operating Companies, internal service locations and VRT in the interest of collaborating to minimize equipment Out-of-Service time for DOT Inspection, Compliance or Maintenance reasons.
  • Analyze monthly TPI and FMCSA Inspection/Violation data, by Operating Company, to identify areas negatively impacting CSA ratings; provide ongoing recommendations for improvement.
  • Organize and review for accuracy/completeness all department documentation provided in support of State or Federal DOT Compliance Audits.
  • Deliver responsive and high-quality service to all customers at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Qualifications:

  • 12-24 Months experience in relevant field
  • 1-2 years Transportation experience preferred
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • AA or BA in relevant field
