Qualifications: Current CNA / MA License, as well as CPR certified. Must be able to type 40 + words per minute. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, must be organized, able to work under pressure in a very busy medical office, work independently and also work well with a team contributing to a positive work environment. Must be a self starter, friendly, outgoing and professional. Provides courteous and friendly customer service. 1 year or more medical office experience required Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 7:45 am to 6:00 pm and some Saturday's as needed.
Description: Facilitates good patient care under the supervision of physician. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies. Assists with the scheduling of tests and treatments. Maintains patient records and other information. Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to patient’s needs. Provides efficient effective patient care in compliance with clinic policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards. Prepares patient for exam. Interview’s patients, measures vital sign and record information in patient record. Makes sure all pertinent information is available to physician (i.e.: list of meds, lab results, medication allergies, etc.). Able to assist lifting patients out of wheelchairs and other weights up to 40 lbs. Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms. Ensures exam rooms are stocked with needed supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures. Inventories and coordinates ordering of medical supplies and materials. Schedules tests and procedures. Obtains pre-authorization from insurance companies when needed. Triages phone messages from patients. Reviews messages with physicians and responds as directed in a prompt and courteous manner. Obtains lab and test results for physician to review. Calls results to patients as indicated by physician in a prompt and courteous manner. Calls prescriptions to pharmacies. Schedule's patient appointments, check's in patients, updates patients charts. other duties not assigned.
