Our diversity is our strength; we encourage people from all
At CARE, we seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live with dignity and security.
This has been our vision since 1945, when we were founded to send lifesaving CARE Packages® to survivors of World War II. Today, CARE is a global leader in the movement to eradicate poverty. In 2015, CARE worked in 95 countries and reached 65 million people with an incredible range of life-saving programs. We also put women and girls at the center of our work because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities. We seek dynamic, innovative thinkers to further our mission. If you share our core beliefs: poverty is an injustice; poverty is solvable; and together, we have the power to end it, join us.
CARE is seeking a Country Office Operations Coordinator who will provide critical management support through data collection, review, and analysis about the performance of CARE USA's country offices and regional teams along the dimensions of finance, operations, and compliance. Information and data that s/he prepares and analyzes will be critical inputs for International Operations management to use for decision-making.
S/he will be responsible for ensuring the Country Office’s Monthly Financial and Management Reporting Tool (COMFORT) are consolidated and reviewed quarterly in conjunction with the regional management teams; for compiling narrative reports on country office and regional activities that can be incorporated into regular reporting cycles; preparing data visualizations of the data from COMFORT and other data streams; and contribute to the analysis of the data streams in the compliance program.
The Country Office Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for other data points and collection processes, including the country office contact lists and key contact lists for the country and regional offices. S/he will prepare and review monthly expense reports and conduct budget-to-actual analyses, and contribute heavily to IO's quarterly performance review materials. The incumbent will also be part of the core team who organizes and administers the annual Country Office Senior Leadership Orientation (COSLO) program and also provide support to country office staff visiting CARE USA offices.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and tell stories with data. S/he must also possess excellent cross-cultural skills and relationship building and collaboration skills. The person in this role must enjoy a fast-paced environment and be comfortable moving between routine and disruption.
