Position Summary:

The Director, Sales Operations International will be responsible for the overall sales force effectiveness and optimization. This entails working with all functional groups to support the sales process.  Essential position duties include but are not limited to customer relations development, forecasting and budgeting in compliance with corporate objectives, and creation and implementation of strategies that comply with AtriCure’s quality and regulatory requirements for succeeding in the international marketplace.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate and provide input as required in any and all negotiations involving the licensing and distribution of AtriCure products by third parties, manage distributor agreements, minimum purchase commitments, pricing, renewals
  • Manage direct sales quotation process, pricing
  • Monitor data integrity and the timeliness of sales data reporting
  • Create sales forecasts with sales teams and distributors, provide input to Operations
  • Oversee International Business analysis, trends, sales reporting processes
  • Develop hardware and service sales programs, service and loaner contracts, extended warranty sales programs
  • Develop market entry strategies, including reimbursement, registrations requirements
  • Assist in developing longer term strategy and next year budgets, develop revenue, unit, and budget forecasts
  • Assist in the development and assignment of sales force quotes, and ensure AtriCure’s financial objectives are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources through the quota program
  • Manage priorities for regulatory and other support functions based on business strategy across International markets
  • Partner with Sr. Sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement
  • Develop and implement customer service strategies
  • Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the service and sales organizations by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Recruit, set organization structure, manage, and coach personnel
  • Work with Human Resources, senior sales leadership, and finance to design and oversee sales incentive compensation program that provides market-competitive pay, reinforce sales organization strategy, and align with business and sales organization objectives
  • Maintain an advanced working knowledge of the CRM platform



  • 10+ years of experience in sales analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to quickly assimilate information from diverse sources
  • Experience in the medical device field
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills a must
  • Experience driving future growth and setting vision, strategy, and goals
  • Experience with sales operations, setting quotas, and developing sales strategies
  • Ability to speak English and Dutch fluently.
