POSITION SUMMARY:

Participate in the enterprise application development efforts for the Enterprise Application team.  The role will be participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including system architecture, design, and coding, as well as participating in business analysis and requirements analysis as required. The application developer is a key role in an inclusive, energetic and highly cross-functional team.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the design and development of enterprise applications using contemporary platform architectures such as Microservices, SOA (Service Oriented Architectures), Cloud Computing, Web, Mobile, IOT, Distributed Computing other.
  • Understands internal/external customer needs through their business perspectives and builds trust through excellent customer communication and active listening
  • Ensure required validation procedures for application changes and upgrades are followed. Adhere to quality system standards.
  • Ensure technical support for enterprise applications, including; Dynamics GP, GP Addons, Business Intelligence, and other enterprise applications. 
  • Ensure compliance with all application software licensing agreements.
  • Maintain and provide status documentation on projects and support issues.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
     

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience in application development.

  • Experience with concepts, design patterns, tools, and platforms that involve standard Microsoft development solutions.

  • Strong relational database knowledge including tuning, stored procedure development and use of reporting services in a Microsoft environment.

  • Hands on experience working in integrated development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio Services or Team Foundation Server.

  • Scripting ability to automate installation, configuration and deployment of software solutions (PowerShell, other applicable experience).

  • Good understanding of SDLC and/or Agile project management methodology.

  • Strong written, verbal communication, work ethic and desire to succeed.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Seasoned developer with excellent programming abilities utilizing the standard Microsoft development suite (ASP.Net, C#, Ajax/JQuery,  MS SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), XML)
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience with web technologies (Angular.js, Node.js, D3.js, HTML5, CSS, ASP.net, REST or other)

  • API Development and Frameworks experience (e.g. Enterprise Service Bus , Message Queue Technologies).

  • Prior experience developing or working with Cloud-based technologies such as Microsoft Azure is highly desired.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP manufacturing and financials or another ERP systems a plus.
