The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for all Channel development, identification of channel partners and sales activities including lead generation in an assigned territory through Channel Partners, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. The role sells products and services through Channel partners.


Performs sales activities for new and renewal business for an assigned geographic area through Channel Partners to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives

•Identify and Recruit Channel partners to ensure coverage and penetration in assigned territory
•Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization’s products and services through Channel Partners
•Enable Channel Partner Sales reps at regular intervals as the need may be. Conduct Onboarding to new sales reps from Channel partners.
•Support Channel partners with joint customer visits and conducts sales presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs. Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services
•Assist Channel partners in Selling products/services through telephone as well as face-to-face contact
•Remains knowledgeable and keeps abreast of the company's new and existing products/services to facilitate sales efforts through Channel Partners
•Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
•Assist Channel Partners in developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
•Develop and maintains Territory mapping plans comprising of target accounts, competitive space and white space jointly with partner to ensure better coverage and penetration of products in the market 
•Coordinates marketing, sales management, accounting and technical services groups to support effective field channel sales collaboration and engagement with ANSYS
•Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required
•Conduct weekly review with channel partner principals and sales reps to provides accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues
•Ensure Channel partners participates in trade shows and conventions; schedules training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities

Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction through Channel Partners to achieve the following

•Maintains a regular schedule of contact via phone/on-site visits
•Alerts client to new or improved products/services
•Develops relationships with clients
•Relays client feedback to product development staff


•Minimum bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or bachelor’s degree with technical sales experience. Management degree would be preferred.
•Minimum 8-10 years’ sales experience with a proven track record of success
•Exposure to channel management is preferred
•Demonstrated understanding of engineering analysis and technology
•Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
•Minimum travel of 50%
