JOB SUMMARY

The Consulting Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving the consulting services sales plan in their geography by partnering with regional sales directors, account managers, and support teams to deliver our booking objectives. The successful candidate will have a heavy emphasis on customer facing business development activity, especially in assessing as-is product development and engineering processes to identify opportunities for ANSYS Consulting to improve those processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the regional sales teams to develop account strategy, customer success roadmaps, and drive bookings. Success will require this individual to leverage all marketing and product development assets

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•    Partner with Regional Sales Directors and Account Managers to collaboratively develop and proactively execute strategies that drive consulting bookings in support of adoption and expansion of ANSYS technologies
•    Own the ANSYS Simulation Driven Product Development Assessment methodology and work closely with regional sales and technical teams to conduct assessments in key accounts.
•    Project Management, collaboration with sales and technical, partners implement consulting projects.
•    Develop and deliver training and mentor regional technical resources in the delivery of SDPD Assessments´╝îsimulation based innovation platform. 
•    Promote awareness of ANSYS services offerings and capabilities by developing marketing material, success stories, and references that help drive revenue growth.  
•    Create strategic partnerships with trade organizations, business channel partners, consulting partners, other companies, and universities that help us grow revenue and find new opportunities.

 

JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline.  
•    Minimum eight years’ experience in direct sales, technical sales support, or consulting.  
•    Must have excellent communications and organizational skills.  Written communications skills a must.
•    Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English.

OTHER INFORMATION

•    Master’s degree  preferred
•    Record of achievement in an Account Manager or Application Engineer role preferred
•    Previous experience in business development activities a plus
•    Proven/documented sales  or consulting ability
•    Travel up to 50%
