The Vital Difference
Vital Strategies’ global strategy is perfectly aligned with today’s public health challenges. We have a multi-pronged approach that includes media campaigns, public policy, and health systems strengthening.
Eighty percent comes from private donors, like foundations, corporations and individuals. This allows us to be mission driven rather than money driven. It also gives us the ability to take risks and test new approaches to improve public health.
We want you to be the conductor of our Vital Strategies orchestra in Asia-Pacific. With 400 musicians in 12 countries, you will develop and lead our Asia symphony.
Drive strategy. You will develop a shared vision for Vital Strategies in Asia -Pacific and a blueprint for growth.
Secure funds. You will be our chief fundraiser in Asia, identifying and cultivating prospective Asia multilateral, corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
Lead the team. You will guide regional staff on a collective plan for growth. Your keen management skills will help staff learn, grow, and thrive.
Promote Vital Strategies. You will raise our visibility at conferences and regional meetings by securing a seat at the table and by inviting other global health leaders to the table you set in the first place.
Regional leadership skills. You have at least 10 years’ experience leading systemic change, managing people, budgets and working in multinational corporations or NGOs. You have an MPH, MD, MBA or other relevant post-graduate degree.
Global health credibility. You understand the top public health trends and challenges in the Asia-Pacific region. You have lived and worked in multiple countries.
Natural fundraiser. You have experience identifying and securing funds from Asia-regional and global institutional donors like the ADB, USAID, DfID, GAVI and The Global Fund.
Strong external relations skills. You know Asia donors, ministers of health (MOH), WHO and NGO leaders. You work well with other NGOs & MOH leaders.
Connected. You have relationships with many people in our field, including donors, Ministry of Health, WHO, and NGO leaders and bilateral donors.
Gravitas. You are engaged and engaging. You know how to get the ear of global health leaders and influence their thinking. You’re a natural at working the room at conferences and donor meetings.
