The Position

Vital Strategies is seeking to hire a full-time Grants Data Manager to assist the Public Health Programs divisional management and Grants Management teams with the development of financial reports and dashboards using NetSuite and Power BI. This position is expected to collaborate across several programs within the Public Health Programs Division, as well as with the Finance Division’s Grants Management team.

Specific Duties

Data Management

  • Support grants and Public Health Programs program managers with financial and programmatic data
  • Analyze existing data sources and data flow
  • Support in the development of data models for ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Load) process of selected data sources
  • Maintain and update existing budget reports and dashboard
  • Meet with program staff to identify data needs and support in the creation of dashboards, and analytical tools using NetSuite and Power BI
  • For specific Power BI Visualization
    • Knowledge on conceptual and logical database models
    • Experience with Power BI, DAX functions and Power Query
    • Experience with SharePoint libraries
    • Familiar with data visualization techniques and software

General/Grants Management

  • Complete monthly review of commitments and expenses
  • Complete monthly cash flow reports
  • Work with existing Public Health Programs Grants team to ensure accuracy of data sets
  • Prepare and complete ad-hoc reports and data sets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight years' experience or Master's degree and six years' experience required
  • Knowledge and direct experience using Power BI required
  • Knowledge and direct experience using NetSuite preferred
  • Experience with data management and data visualization
  • Prior experience working in non-profit, grants, finance or global development sectors preferred
