Consulting Opportunity

Vital Strategies, an international public health organization, has an exciting consulting opportunity for someone who wants to support the expansion of our programs across the globe.

The consultant will serve as the project manager working with multiple divisions as we hire staff through either our Employer of Record (EOR) or our newly established entity in country. 

Research the market.   Coordinate the gathering of salary and benefits information, and statutory compliance information for countries requested by program.  Working with members of the HR team, develop salary ranges, and identify a benefits provider for each country, ensure Employee Agreements and HR Policy Manuals are in alignment with Vital’s overarching policies.

Coordinate the hiring and global onboarding process .  Develop checklists to help seamlessly move selected individuals to Vital Strategies employees. Work with HR colleagues and other divisions to prepare to work in the country; as well as, coordinate a robust onboarding process.

Build effective Employee, Vendor, Internal Client Relationships. Facilitate any changes or issues between internal teams, the employees, the EOR.

Monitor Compliance. Work with finance team to ensure staff get paid on time, timesheets and leave records are up to date, proof of tax payments are being provided, approvals are being provided timely.

Help us Learn.   Document processes, lessons learned, and effective practices to serve as a model for future expansion.


International HR project management experience.   You have 6+ years experience working in international project management.  You have worked on human resources systems or projects and can deliver services within deadlines.  BA or BS required.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills. You are well organized and methodical.  You can address a problem and ensure seamless implementation.

Professional customer service.   During this time of change and expansion, the consultant should be comfortable with occasional chaos and provide prompt and friendly service to a diverse population.
