Business Development Manager

 

This position will work closely with the Director of the division to further grow our material handling business. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who can work independently to help shape the future of our business. The position will be responsible for creating and closing on new business opportunities while representing OPEX and its products with honesty and integrity. The Business Development Manager will be expected to work closely with end-users and OPEX team members. This individual will assist in designing, pricing, and justifying OPEX equipment.  This position will be based in our Plano, Texas office.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Report to the Director of Business Development - Warehouse Automation.
  • Manage, coach, and consult potential customers on understanding best fit applications for OPEX material handling equipment.
  • Provide estimates and firm price proposals & quotations.
  • Assist the Warehouse Automation team in evaluating system layout and designs.
  • Provide consultation and support as needed for internal marketing and sales efforts
  • Develop and uncover new opportunities for OPEX.
  • Utilize Oracle Sales Cloud platform for recording and planning customer and prospect interactions.
  • Attend and speak at trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
  • Provide feedback and input for product improvement considerations based on market trends.
  • Provide consultation and support to potential customers who are evaluating material handling automation.
  • Work closely with the Partner Development team to recommend preferred OPEX partnerships to end-users.
  • 30 - 40% Travel required.

Qualifications:

  • 3-10+ years’ technical sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Leadership, or Engineering preferred.
  • Ability to understand and describe complex technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experiencing designing or managing complex order fulfillment solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience navigating and selling to fortune 100 companies.
  • Material handling automation experience preferred.
  • Experience in quoting and closing multi-million dollar projects.

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Professional office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of applications including Word, Excel, and Office. Experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle Sales Cloud preferred.
