Facilities Assistant

Position Summary

OPEX Corporation is seeking to fill a full time Facilities Assistant position. This role will be responsible for various tasks including, but not limited to: framing and erecting walls, preparation and installation of windows and other interior building materials, operating power tools and equipment, assisting other skilled trades at the site, other duties as assigned.  This position is a 40 hour work week with full benefits. Essential Responsibilities

  • Clear work areas of debris…trash removal and sweeping
  • Picking up material from various vendors
  • Move large objects in and out of building
  • Help set up new layout for building
  • Preparation and installation of windows, and other interior building materials
  • Operating power tools and equipment
  • Cutting, patching and preparation of wood and concrete surfaces
  • Assisting other skilled trades at the site
  • Required to complete any and all facilities related maintenance issues


  • High school degree or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 1+ years’ experience in a construction setting
  • Previous experience in a manual labor position is required
  • Proven general carpentry skills, including the use of hand and power tools
  • Read basic blueprints and building plans a plus
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and walk throughout a large building
  • A strong work ethic and ability to get the job done safely and efficiently
  • Available to work over time if required

Physical/Work Environments

  • Worker will be working in a office, warehouse, manufacturing environment
