Centauri is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support one of our IC customers in Reston, VA. The successful candidate will interface with Government and corporate representatives to oversee all information systems security plans and ensure that all Government information system security policies and procedures are being followed. The ISSO will also interface with headquarters personnel security staff providing day-to-day oversight and interface with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure that security objectives are being met. The ISSO will ensure that personnel receive the required technical and security training, will assist in managing and coordinate information security inspections, work as part of a Computer Incident Response Team for all information systems and perform ongoing risk assessments to validate established security policies.
Must have a minimum of three years of Federal level classified systems - ISSO or Systems Administrator experience.
Must have current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level 2 or IAM Level 1 or higher certification OR be able to obtain certification within six months of employment.
Understanding the federal rules and regulations that encompass the SCI and collateral accreditation process.
Familiar with CNSSP, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800 Series ICD 503, Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and the Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) process.
Identifies critical security issues and recommends risk-reduction solutions.
Experience in one or more of the following: Network Security, Computer Forensics, Physical Security, Government Computer Systems, Firewall/Router Management, Security Project Management, Network Vulnerability Analysis / Remediation, and Audit Loss Analysis
Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows and Linux).
Familiarity with secure implementations such as VPNs, encryption technologies, IPSEC, V-LANs, and auditing software.
Ability to work in a team environment and have strong oral and written communication and presentation skills, ability to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel including senior and executive management in a professional/tactful manner; ability to negotiate across all levels of the organization.
Leadership skills demonstrated through background of being self-directed with creative energy, strong initiative, drive to excel, and capable of inspiring others to excellence as well. Demonstrated ability to both build a team and to work as a team member.
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI and willing to take a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
