Manages Security activities for an assigned shift to protect the guest, employees and the physical and financial assets of the Resort.  Provides back up coverage in the absence of the Security Manager.


  • Schedules and delegates work to appropriately staff Security operations.  Directs workflow, and oversees daily operational issues, including time and attendance records.
  • Provides guidance and direction to the staff and makes recommendations to the manager regarding hiring, developing, and disciplining employees.
  • Ensures that proper procedures, policies, laws, and internal controls are followed.
  • Maintains current and comprehensive knowledge of Policy and Procedures and Internal Controls relataive to the operations of the Security department.
  • Responds to and when possible, resolves Security issues involving employees or guests.
  • Assists the Security Manager in conducting investigations, and maintaining proper records.
  • Resolves customer concerns and complaints and considers customer suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service to Resort guest.
  • Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
  • Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media.  Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.


  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
  • 5 years of experience preferred as a Security Officer I or Security Officer II at Seven Feathers Security Department or the equivalent in a comparable Casino Security environment, or 5 Years as a Supervisor in Civilian Law Enforcement.
  • Familiarity with Defensive Tactics.
  • Administrative/clerical experience required.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred.
  • Analytical and mathematical skills preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Excellent service approach when dealing with guests.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Current and valid Oregon Drivers License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC Drivers Program.
  • Must have or be able to qualify for a Class III gaming license through the Cow Creek Gaming and Regulatory commission.
  • Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available).
