Researches, evaluates and buys products and supplies for their everyday use in the Food and Beverage Department while coordinating with the Food and Beverage leadership team on what products to carry in our inventory shelves, establishes the most adequate par levels, ensures proper flow of commodities, accuracy of ordering, order fulfillment, billing, accounting and warehouse requisitioning. Analyzes and negotiates always for the best deal for the Seven Feathers Casino Resort.




  • Performs the bidding, purchasing, receiving, and storage of supplies for the F&B Department.
  • Forecasts demand and evaluate inventory levels to generate the appropriate purchase orders.
  • Ensures proper purchasing and requisitions guidelines for all orders for F&B.
  • Researches suppliers and costs for all departmental needs.
  • Ensures quality service, and best available price on goods and services in an ethical manner without compromising quality.
  • Works with Purchasing Manager on researching new trends or advances in product lines to make appropriate buying decisions.
  • Coordinates the inventory control of all activities in all the kitchens.
  • Assists with the entry of goods received on open PO’s using Navision.
  • Oversees and assists with periodic manual inventory counts and make adjustments in computer inventory.
  • Ensures accurate departmental coding of internal requisitions.
  • Assists with the storage, disposal or sale of surplus or broken items.
  • Keeps maintenance of weekly work schedules in Novatime.
  • Provides coaching, guidance, and on the job training for staff members in a manner commensurate with the mission and values of Seven Feathers Casino Resort.
  • Communicates price increases and delivery shortages to the Food and Beverage Director and Purchasing Manager.
  • Provides support to the Purchasing Manager with sourcing goods and supplies.
  • Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
  • Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media.  Limit access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.





  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
  •  3 years of purchasing experience in either a large supply company or a Purchasing Department in a similar size company required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • 3 years clerical experience required.  Typing at least 40WPM. 10-key by touch.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding and professional experience with Purchasing Contracts.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience in working across the various functions of the business.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficient in Navision.
  • Reading comprehension and analytical/mathematics skills essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
  • Must be 21 year of age or older.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.  (specific standards available).
  • Current and valid Oregon Driver’s License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC Drivers Program.
