Prepares, seasons, and cooks soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items for guests in the dining outlets.


  • Responsible for ordering food items and supplies from outside vendors or warehouse stock.
  • Prepares food and ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and shredding vegetables and fruits.  Cuts, trims, and bones meats, poultry and fish.
  • Mixes and measures ingredients according to recipes.  Prepares soups, salads, gravies, sauces, desserts and other menu items according to guest requests.
  • Bakes, broils, and steams meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables and other menu items using ovens, broilers, steamers and grills.
  • Carves meats using set portions.  Prepares serving plates with garnishments, gravies, meat and completes the guests order.
  • Bakes breads, rolls, cakes, and pastry maintaining the high standards set for the restaurants.
  • Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.


  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • Some Vocational/Culinary School background.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or fine dining establishment.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Must have administrative/clerical experience.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Current Food Handler or ServSafe Certificate required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
  • Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available).
