Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • Responsible for managing the activities in the Revenue Audit Department to ensure the accurate reporting of revenue figures and enforcement of all applicable laws, regulations, internal controls and the Tribal Compact.
  • Assists the Casino Controller in all aspects of Revenue Audit

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and implements procedural policies for audited documents and makes revisions or corrections as needed.
  • Coordinates and posts journal entries for financial reconciliation of revenue and clearing accounts.Ensures preparation of various revenue reports.
  • Reconciles Gaming Liabilities held on the Balance Sheet.
  • Manages and evaluates revenue auditors, ensuring cooperation and reporting of internal controls and financial activities.
  • Applies GAAP when supervising journal entries
  • Provides constructive input to foster process improvements within the department.Communicates problems, workflow, and other relevant issues to supervisor as appropriate.
  • Act as a role model for the Revenue Auditors by focusing on the demonstration of positive action, behavior, attendance, work ethic and guest service.
  • Prepares specialized accounting reports on an as-needed-basis.
  • Maintain integrity while handling sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Defines problems and collects data, establishes facts and draws valid conclusions.
  • Nurture positive relationships with other Management Team members to ensure success of the Revenue Audit Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five (5) years of experience in the audit and/or accounting field.
  • Three (3) years of accounting/financial management experience.
  • Associates Degree in Accounting.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in IGT advantage, Agilysys preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Unquestionable work ethics and integrity.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
