Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Greets the guests entering and leaving the Resort.  Assists the guest with luggage and arranging transportation or valet parking.  Responsible for exemplary guest service for the Resort Hotel.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greets and welcomes guest entering or leaving the Resort.  Assists guests in delivering luggage to the Hotel lobby.
  • Assist guests in obtaining taxi or shuttle service.  Assists guest in and out of their vehicle, provides valet service parking guest vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitors the parking lot areas of the Resort and reports any unusual or suspicious activity to the Security Department.
  • Provides guest with current weather and road conditions.
  • Ensures that unattended vehicles are not in the main entrance longer than Hotel policy permits.
  • Provides guests with directions to attractions or facilities in or outside the property.
  • Provides guests with information about attractions, facilities, and services in or outside the property.
  • Maintains a neat and clean appearance and work areas at all times.
  • Adheres to all department and resort policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Maintains working relationships and communicates in a professional manner and friendly environment with all departments.
  • Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
  • Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media.  Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.
  • Performs and assists with other duties and responsibilities set forth by the Hotel Management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
  • 1 year of customer contact experience (customer service or hotel/motel parking).
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Must have administrative/clerical experience.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Valid and current Oregon Drivers License with the ability to qualify for the UIDC’s Drivers Program.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
  • Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available).
