Position: Instructional Systems Design Intern

Location: Washington, DC OR Based Remotely

Position Summary: The Intern will support the Human Resources - Organizational Development and Training function by designing and developing training presentations, specifically e-Learning products. Intern will be responsible for ensuring that products are loaded onto the learning and content management system and will administer and maintain the system for the duration of the internship.   This experience will build a training product portfolio, enable the application of ISD theory and methodology and provide experience with the development and implementation of a LCMS.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Use instructional design and development methodologies to create e-learning products.
  • Use authorware to produce interactive, motivational and engaging training products.
  • Support the implementation and administration of the LCMS.
  • Help with special projects as needed.

Qualifications & requirements:

  • An understanding of asynchronous delivery for global workforce
  • Familiarization with development authorware required (experience with Articulate, Captivate, Blackboard, Cornerstone On Demand preferred).
  • Familiarization with learning and content management systems. 
  • Dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • General knowledge of world affairs international/intergovernmental institutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a Team
  • 15 hours minimum; M-F varied schedule 
  • Professional demeanor 
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Second language desired

Salary: Unpaid. Monthly transportation stipend available to commuting interns. Academic credit available.
