Thank you for your interest in RI’s Surge Roster and thank you for being such loyal and enthusiast RI employees. RI possesses a huge amount of talent in the three regions that it serves. Periodically, RI is in need of talent to fill an interim or emergency position within RI. These are mainly for short-term assignments (varying from weeks to months). When that need arises, RI may tap the experience and skills of its employees.

How the Surge Roster Works
We have a simple process for the selection of RI staff who are on the Roster. When you submit your application, you will go through a short screening process that may include an interview. We will consider your application if a situation arises where your particular experience and skills are required. We will check your availability with your supervisor and gather information about your performance and skills. Those that are selected and vetted for the Roster will be required to take Security and Humanitarian Response Training.
