At NVR, the HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs, objectives and resolution of HR issues. They will produce a strong relationship between HR strategy and the overall business strategy.  The HR Business Partner provides strategic partnership and integration to help line managers make informed, overarching decisions in the areas of workforce planning, talent management actions and investments.  The HRBP focuses on priorities for talent acquisition and improving productivity, while influencing retention and development priorities.  They are committed to adhering to company policies and mitigating risk.

How you will impact NVR, Inc.

  • Build and maintain credibility as a trusted advisor and provide strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions to senior business leaders
  • Coordinate and drive strategic workforce planning process to ensure consistent execution across our homebuilding markets
  • Develop effective leaders with a focus on business strategy, organizational growth, coaching, and talent management
  • Assist in identifying and developing high potential employees for critical roles at all levels of the company
  • Design and implement strategies to recruit and retain a strong talent force, support a positive employee relations environment, and leverage data to measure results and outcomes
  • Serve as a catalyst to drive company development and effectively communicate organizational change

What you need to be successful

  • 8+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with 5+ years in a Business Partner or Managerial capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree in Human Resources preferred
  • Experience creating human capital and business strategies to drive a competitive advantage
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Experience with quantitative analysis with demonstrated ability to work with financial data
  • Ability to travel 3-4 days each month
