Accountabilities: As the successful candidate in this role, you will perform diversified cost analyses and provide general accounting support for the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) capital group. You possess an overall understanding of financial concepts and objectives, and an understanding of financial systems. You will assist in coordinating capital project packages and the preparation and coordination of capital budgets, forecasts and business plans. You will prepare monthly accruals and adjustments and support the month-end close process, including performing various reconciliations. You will analyze monthly operating and capital expenditures using company financial systems (Oracle, PowerPlan, PeopleSoft, Maximo and so on) and provide overall financial support to the team members.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
You have a recognized Accounting/Business Certificate, and a minimum 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have an excellent working knowledge of Excel, strong analytical abilities, a keen business sense, knowledge of computer operating systems, and effective organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
