Therefore we are currently looking to fill the position of Business Intelligence Specialist to join us in developing NSPs Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution.
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is a secure communication network system that involves installation of advanced new technology and new meters. The meters used in AMI systems are commonly referred to as “smart meters” as they allow for remote two-way communication capability which enables a wide variety of benefits including operational efficiencies that translate into customer savings; modernization of NS Power’s grid to become more responsive and improve reliability; and it provides customers with access to tools to better manage their electricity use and stay on budget.
As a member of the AMI Project team, you will join a dynamic group of responsive professionals leading cross-divisional and enterprise-wide business transformation during this multi-year project. You will interact extensively with internal customers to help define exciting new business initiatives and provide enterprise business process and integration analysis, business requirements gathering and analytics, functional design, and preparation of documentation associated with process change.
The Business Intelligence Specialist is an integral member of the AMI project team and provides technical leadership, supports the strategic direction and provides oversight for the activities related to the implementation of our AMI Solution. If you excel in the areas of technical leadership, collaboration, problem solving, and you have the right experience, you are a strong candidate for this position.
Under the direction of AMI Data Lead, the Business Intelligence Specialist is accountable for analyzing and implementing BI reports as per the AMI project business requirements.The successful candidate is able to anticipate the end-to-end scope of analytical needs and design and build valuable BI solutions. The incumbent maintains a close working relationship with: business analysts and business leaders, application vendors, and IT technical and support staff, and participate in industry application user groups to leverage advancements and learnings for the application solutions.
