Under the direction of the Manager, ERP Application Support, the Intermediate Business Systems Analyst (Access Management) is accountable to perform user access management duties for core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications; and ensure that access management activities performed adhere to IT Security standards, and comply Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) requirements.  This position will work closely with fellow Access Control Analyst in carrying out these duties.


Perform user access management duties including:

  • Provisioning of user access management requests (new, change, removal) for ERP applications (Oracle eBusiness Suite; PeopleSoft and PowerPlan) in accordance with approved processes and meeting service level expectations;
  • Asses, prioritize and complete requests in a timely and quality manner following standard User Access Management and Request Management procedures;
  • Ensure all requests comply with defined SOx, audit and approval requirements.
  • Support and enforce corporate application security policies and procedures through effective access provisioning and user education;
  • Perform audit controls and reporting related to application access and usage;
  • Support maintenance and improvement of access management processes, security design documents, and approval matrices;
  • Perform project and operational tasks with good overall quality, while being able to prioritize work to meet deadlines;
  • Work collaboratively with business partners, system users, peers and vendors.

You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

Skills, Capabilities and Experience

The successful candidate will have a University degree or diploma in a computer related discipline and between two and five years’ experience in client facing user access management and IT support roles.  

The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, possesses strong communication skills, is able to efficiently perform assigned tasks, track work progress and approvals in the request management system and make timely decisions and/or recommendations.

This role requires:

  • Working knowledge and 2-5 years’ experience with user access management security and controls;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

The following would be an asset:

  • Working knowledge and experience with IT Security access best practices, NI-52 and SOX internal controls;
  • Access provisioning experience and general knowledge of with Oracle E-Business Suite, PowerPlan or PeopleSoft;
  • ITIL Foundations training;
  • Experience performing proactive IT audit controls;
  • Experience satisfying internal and external audit requests for information and evidence;
  • Ability to communicate with end users to identify business system requirements and in turn transform them into well-defined technical solution requirements.
