As a Project Manager, for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, your key responsibility will be to manage a phase of large complex projects or manage multiple medium sized projects that are approximately greater than $10M and are up to $100M. After completion of successful proposal/bidding process, this position is accountable for all aspects of a project’s success, to meet or exceed the client’s expectations, to the profitable completion of the job, with a special emphasis on safety performance. It is essential to be reliable, self-motivated, goal oriented, organized and professional. Critical for success are excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in teams and quickly make decisions.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination
  • 5 years of experience in previous gas distribution utility experience with 2  years in a technical training, OQ Evaluator, QA/QC or related role
  • Experience with Scheduling, Estimating and Project Controls software
  • Demonstration of previous successful management of project(s) of up to $10M
  • Experience managing mechanical pump station construction projects
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
  • Travel in Southeast California
